We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex hardware and software projects from concept through to deployment. This role will combine: Programme delivery leadership (driving structured, end‑to‑end execution across technical workstreams) Cross‑functional coordination (working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers, and stakeholders) Risk‑based delivery control (ensuring projects progress safely, compliantly, and to a high standard) You will ensure that complex, multi‑disciplinary programmes are delivered with clarity, structure, and control — maintaining alignment between engineering activity, delivery milestones, and customer expectations while proactively managing risk, dependencies, and delivery performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical engineering, programme delivery, and stakeholder management — someone who can communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and take ownership of delivery outcomes across the full project lifecycle. What you will be doing Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through to close‑out, defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria while maintaining detailed plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting structures Drive the delivery of integrated hardware and software solutions across development, build, integration, test, and deployment, coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing dependencies across engineering, quality, suppliers, manufacturing, and operations Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing structured updates, delivery reporting, and RAIDO status while ensuring decisions, priorities, and impacts are clearly communicated and understood Identify, track, and actively manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, ensuring mitigation, escalation, and contingency plans are in place and maintained throughout the project Ensure alignment between product design, engineering activity, build readiness, and key delivery milestones, managing delivery gates, readiness reviews, integration, verification, testing, and deployment activities Support release planning across hardware and software rollout cycles, ensuring dependencies and readiness criteria are understood, while maintaining compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer‑specific assurance criteria Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methods as appropriate, supporting sprint ceremonies and driving continuous improvement in delivery efficiency, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration Who you are Experienced in delivering technical projects involving both hardware and software components, with clear ownership of end‑to‑end delivery Strong understanding of project delivery disciplines, including software development lifecycles, hardware development lifecycles, prototyping, manufacturing, and structured release planning Comfortable managing complex, multi‑disciplinary workstreams where requirements evolve and proactive risk management is essential A clear communicator, able to align technical and non‑technical stakeholders around delivery priorities, risks, and decisions Organised and structured, with strong planning, prioritisation, and problem‑solving capability in dynamic delivery environments Desirable Familiarity with supply chain, manufacturing, and production delivery environments Experience supporting sea trials, field trials, or operational test activities Experience using project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Confluence Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades.
