Overview
An exciting opportunity to join the nurse led Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening Centre. You will join a highly skilled, motivated team delivering Bowel Cancer population screening to Dorset. Dorset residents are offered screening from ages fifty years up until seventy five years, enabling early detection and treatment of colorectal cancers. Successful candidates will be employed by University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Poole Hospital site.
Location
Base Location: Poole Hospital. You will also be required to work across three other sites within Dorset: Christchurch, Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Dorset Healthcare.
Responsibilities
* Assess subjects’ fitness for colonoscopy.
* Support subjects to make informed choices.
* Deliver healthy lifestyle advice.
* Review and action investigation results, including histopathology, and deliver investigation results.
* Ensure subjects’ outcomes are correct.
Qualifications
* NMC Registration.
Work Travel
The role involves travel to the various screening sites. Excess mileage will not be reimbursed; travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute.
Additional Information
The Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening Programme is part of United Hospitals Dorset Trust services development; some services may move site in line with the Trust’s New Hospital Programme.
