About the Role We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Teacher of SEND to join our inclusive and forward-thinking school. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work across two complementary provisions within the same role, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. In the morning sessions, you will teach a small group of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a classroom-based setting, delivering tailored learning in core subjects. In the afternoons, you will lead a group of pupils with EHCPs in engaging outdoor learning experiences, focusing on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) development, using our outdoor provision to support regulation, resilience, and well-being. About the Pupils In the morning, the pupils you will work with have complex cognition and learning needs and are working significantly below age-related expectations. They require: • Highly differentiated teaching • A structured and nurturing environment • Consistent routines and strong relationships • A focus on both academic progress and personal development In the afternoons, you will support pupils to develop SEMH skills such as emotional regulation, communication, confidence, and social interaction through outdoor learning approaches. Both settings are supported with support staff. A small number of pupils access both morning and afternoon provisions.
