The University of Manchester invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a fixed-term lectureship in Renaissance and Early Modern Art and Architecture (Renaissance and Baroque). The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the work of the subject area as follows:

* Teach on or contribute to established course units on the BA(Hons) Art History at all undergraduate levels, including the first‑semester survey Artworks in History: Ice Age to Baroque.
* Teach optional units related to their field of expertise in Early Modern art and architecture (Renaissance or Baroque), with any geographic focus.
* Supervise undergraduate dissertations.
* Act as academic advisor to students.
* Take a full part in the life and administration of Art History and Cultural Practices.
* Contribute to the rich research culture of Art History and Cultural Practices. The School operates a Work Allocation Model (WAM) that ensures parity of workloads; the duties of this post will conform to the expected teaching and administrative obligations for a full‑time member of academic staff.
