We are seeking a dedicated Medical Administrator to join our friendly and professional team at Buxton Medical Practice, where every day brings variety and the opportunity to make a real difference to the smooth running of our patient services. Main Duties
* Inputting and maintaining accurate patient data on the practice medical system, including consultations, investigations, and correspondence.
* Producing and checking reports, searches, and patient letters to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
* Managing and maintaining computer systems, performing backups, troubleshooting, and supporting colleagues with IT queries.
* Assisting in the management of appointments and workflowing information using Docman (or future replacement systems).
* Supporting Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF) reporting through accurate data entry, searches, and returns.
* Providing occasional cover for reception duties, including patient enquiries and appointments, as part of a shared rota.
* Helping to maintain an efficient, confidential, and welcoming practice environment.

Person Specification
* Flexibility to assist colleagues and cover reception or secretarial duties as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative or IT-based role, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting.
* Excellent computer literacy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage data accurately and confidentially.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively within a busy, multi-disciplinary team.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to manage your own workload.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C (Grades 4-9) in English and Maths
