Manufacturing Production Planner
£52,000 per annum + 15% shift allowance
Shift based - 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off - days and nights

Your new role
1. Deliver the overriding Maintenance Plan in the form of a Movements Plan to achieve maximum train availability in line with the requirements set out in the contract.
2. Assess the operational situation and dispatch requirements in order to inform the maintenance plan.
3. Maintain Fleet Balances to ensure the correct fleet types are sent on the correct diagrams.
4. Focus on future maintenance work: daily; weekly; monthly; quarterly; and annually in order to develop and continually refine the maintenance plan for units operating the ECML.
5. Manage a balanced unit rotation to maximise the mileage across the fleets.
6. Be the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) between the customer and internal departments with regards to operational needs.
7. Direct point of contact for Depots and outstations with regards to operational changes and requirements.
8. Identify and prioritise maintenance activities in accordance with contractual, performance, technical and safety requirements.
9. Plan the implementation of fleet modifications.
10. Liaise with Engineering staff and promulgate immediate Engineering Change where required.
11. Responsible for chairing conference calls with internal stake holders and third-party maintenance suppliers.
12. Direct liaison to third party maintainers in which their activities need incorporating into the overriding plan
13. Ensure defects in-service and emerging work requirements discussed with the relevant locations and incorporated into the working plan.
14. Liaison between the commercial team assisting with relevant operational information which may assist in their investigations.
15. Manage costs through the effective and efficient alignment of resources and operational capabilities.
16. Comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement.
17. Be reactive to incidents, disruptions and emergencies on the operational railway and amend the maintenance plan and movements plan accordingly.
18. Liaise with Production Schedulers and Support Engineers at the Train Maintenance Centre to agree the maintenance plan to be executed.
19. Liaise with Operations Support and Engineering staff to incorporate overhauls and technical investigations into the maintenance plan.
20. Utilise SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications (SOROS, HFMT, Genius, smart sheets, Trello) where required in order to inform and develop the plan.
21. Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a customer focus.
22. Prepare reports and give verbal briefs as required.
About you
23. Previous experience of maintenance planning, scheduling and production.
24. Sound knowledge of railway operations and compliance to railway rules and regulations.
25. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think quickly.
26. Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – SAP, Maximo or Equinox.
27. Minimum Engineering HNC or equivalent vocational experience.
