National Account Manager – FMCG Grocery/Retail/B2B (UK)

Our client is a fast-growing, independent, international FMCG manufacturer operating in the sweet goods category. With multiple production sites in Europe and distribution in over 100 countries, the business combines heritage, quality craftsmanship, and strong CSR commitments. The company is driven by a clear ambition: to become a global leader in its category while maintaining a strong focus on product quality, responsible sourcing, and sustainable growth.

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of UK & ROI, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of UK retail accounts, developing and optimising business performance in line with the company's commercial strategy. This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing international FMCG business, offering strong exposure to major UK retailers and significant autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary commercial contact for your portfolio of national retail accounts, working closely with the company's local importer/distribution partner.
Drive the deployment and growth of branded and private label products within the UK retail market.
Negotiate national agreements in line with company sales policies and profitability targets.
Deliver against agreed objectives including: Distribution and assortment, Promotional activity, Merchandising execution, & Volume and revenue targets
Proactively recommend corrective actions where required to ensure performance delivery.
Manage and monitor promotional budgets to maximise ROI.
Conduct regular brand and account reviews, identifying growth levers and new opportunities.
Monitor market trends, category developments, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.

Profile & Experience:
Degree-level qualification in Business or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a UK FMCG retail-facing role (head office and/or field-based) 5 years' experience in a UK FMCG retail-facing role (head office and/or field-based) with at least 1 Top 4 account experience.
Strong knowledge of the UK retail landscape is essential.
Proven experience managing national retail accounts.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial planning skills.
Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
French language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
Full UK Driving licence required.
