What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our systems engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Establishing IV&V infrastructure and processes to support the full V-model lifecycle.
* Setting up and delivering left-hand-side V-model processes, ensuring robust design, integration, and configuration.
* Supporting system and product integration activities, resolving cross-discipline conflicts, and meeting contractual requirements.
* Defining and assuring V&V activities and outputs, providing evidence to substantiate design across the lifecycle.
* Driving cross-engineering collaboration and assurance, working closely with systems engineering teams to coordinate integration delivery.
Your Skills and Experiences
Essential:
* Experience with the installation, configuration, and testing of Category 3 systems and equipment.
* Hands-on involvement in testing and trial activities, including preparation, execution, and review.
* Strong fault investigation and resolution skills within multi-faceted systems.
* HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience in a similar environment.
Desirable:
* Background in defence, naval, or IT environments.
* Experience in commissioning activities, particularly within advanced or safety-critical systems.

The SSNA – Platform Complex Systems Team
The Platform Complex Systems (PCS) team is a dynamic engineering function at the heart of the SSNA programme. We are responsible for establishing IV&V infrastructure, defining V-model processes, and supporting system integration throughout the lifecycle. By collaborating closely with stakeholders and programme workstreams, we tackle cross-discipline engineering challenges, ensuring major systems are well-defined and integrated. Relocation support packages are available for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
