Procurement Solicitor – 5+ PQE, Oxfordshire, up to GBP 75,000–90,000 (DOE). Excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Lawyer to join the growing national team of this Legal 500 firm.
The Role
In this role you will provide specialist support and advice on public procurement law to clients across the public and private sectors, serving both contracting authorities and suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
* Drafting and advising on procurement documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle, from contract notices and tender documentation to evaluation strategies, standstill communications, and contract awards.
* Advising on procurement strategies, delivering broader procurement advisory work, and providing guidance on procurement challenges, disputes, and decision‑making processes.
* Playing an active role in business development activities, strengthening and expanding client relationships.
* Mentoring and supervising junior team members and supporting their professional development.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE and proven experience in public procurement law. Desired attributes:
* Confidence in managing an independent caseload and client relationships, taking ownership of matters.
* Strong commercial awareness, excellent legal and analytical skills, and a sound understanding of the public sector.
* Genuine interest and enthusiasm for public procurement work.
* Experience in marketing and business development activities, ability to represent the firm through networking, client engagement, and public speaking opportunities.
