Role Description
Are you passionate about driving digital innovation into Wales? Are you skilled in crafting technical solutions that exceed customer expectations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Centerprise International. We are looking to hire an individual that can take a technical lead in designing infrastructure and software solutions for our customer base in Wales. This individual will work collaboratively with our existing vendors and partners but will also take a leading role in developing our portfolio in these areas. This individual will have the opportunity to work strategically with all customers in the region, you will act as a technical expert during the sales process, helping to showcase the value of our products and services. This individual will be working with Public Sector and Private Sector customers in the region. This unique role is not aimed at just individuals with sales experience, we also see this as an exciting opportunity for individuals that have a technical background in IT in either Public or Private Sector Organisations and are seeking a new challenge transitioning into a strategic commercial role. You will be the technical North Star for our Account Managers, Vendors, Partners and most importantly our customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Strategy, Design & Execution
Architect Outcomes: Translate complex customer "pain points" into measurable business outcomes. You won't just sell products; you’ll design the Objective, Ways, and Means for customer success.
Technical Leadership: Lead the design and proposal phase for high-value Infrastructure and Software opportunities, ensuring our solutions are innovative, resilient, and "future-proof."
Tender Mastery: Take the lead on technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. You will be responsible for crafting Equivalency Arguments to challenge "lock-out" specifications and ensure our customers get the best possible technology.
Collaborative Strategy: Partner with Account Managers and Tier-1 vendors (Lenovo, Microsoft, Aruba, etc.) to create a seamless strategy that drives net-new business in the region.
Thought Leadership: Deliver high-impact presentations to C-suite stakeholders and technical teams alike. You will "lock in the technical win" by proving our value through vigor and domain expertise.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of competitive landscapes and market trends (like Cloud Repatriation, AI-ready infrastructure, and the Procurement Act 2023) to keep Centerprise at the forefront of the industry.
The Background: Proven experience in technology design, communications, or infrastructure. We highly value candidates with a background in Public Sector IT leadership or established Presales Engineering.
The Toolkit: Deep knowledge of modern infrastructure (On-Prem, Public Cloud, and Hybrid), including:
* Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V, and Containerization (K8s).
* Networking: Core switching (Ethernet/TCP/IP) and Policy Management (NAC/802.1x).
* Cloud: Transitioning to Cloud‑Native architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Education/Qualifications/Specific training
* Demonstrable experience of solution design. • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. • Broad knowledge of current technology and associated business drivers.
* Formal (and current) technical certifications for example: Cisco, MS, Lenovo.
