An Assistant Mechanical Estimator is required to work for a Main Contractor in London
You will be working on a range of different projects including residential, healthcare, commercial and heritage schemes valuing up to £10m.
This Main Contractor has a strong name in the construction industry with an impressive track record with a lot of repeated contracts by previous clients
Duties include:
* Preparation and submission of electrical and mechanical tenders.
* Review enquiries and identifying items from manufacture and subcontractors speaking with clients to resolve queries.
* Speaking with suppliers and subcontractors over identified services ensuring that the services that they are offering are compliant with clients’ needs.
* Taking off quantities from drawings and putting them onto correct the system
* Making sure deadlines are achieved where possible but keep all involved informed of any delays.
* High level of drive, energy and initiative, proactive, focused, tenacious and being committed.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience as a Site Manager.
* You will need to be degree qualified in construction management or relevant trade experience
* Main contracting experience.
* Good numeracy and computer skills
* Knowledge of materials/construction methods
* Working well as a team
* Capable of meeting deadlines
* Good communication skills
