Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start
We are recruiting a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEND school in Welwyn Garden City. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Previous experience working with SEND pupils is essential.
As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, as well as assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities. You will be working with students with a range of special educational needs and learning difficulties, so a calm, patient, and adaptable approach is required.

Role responsibilities:
Support students with their learning and personal development
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Work closely with students with a range of SEND needs
Provide 1:1 and small group support as required
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them feel secure in and out of the classroom
Communicate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to prioritise student progressRequirements:
Available Immediately, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm
MUST have a DBS or willing to get one
Have experience with children in some capacity whereby you can provide a reference
