Job Description:
Brighton Met College or Northbrook/Worthing College, part of the Chichester College Group
Apprenticeship Coach [Ref: BRTN0943]
Pro rata of £24,791 - £25,935 per annum (i.e., £12,395.50 - £12,967.50)
18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Are you looking for that ideal part-time role that enables you to change lives through learning by engaging directly with and supporting our apprentices across either our Brighton MET college sites or our Northbrook/Worthing College sites?
As an Apprenticeship Coach, you will provide students and employers with a high level of support relevant to their Apprenticeship programme to facilitate progression, achievement, and success. You will also focus on onboarding, induction, off-the-job training, attendance, and employer engagement.
The Apprenticeship Coach role is very varied, with no two days the same. We are happy to consider flexible working conditions for the right person. We will consider candidates from other sectors with the right aptitude. This role can be learned, although any prior knowledge of apprenticeships and student support would be advantageous.
Our Apprenticeship Coach will be educated to Level 3, and possess a Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English. You will have experience supporting students post-16 with an understanding of their study needs, options, and progression opportunities.
Our Staff Benefits:
We offer a range of staff benefits, highly competitive with the private sector, including:
• Local Government Pension Scheme - the Group contributes 20.4% of your pensionable pay.
• 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with continuous service, plus bank holidays and college closure days over Christmas, not deducted from leave, and a wellbeing day. Opportunity to purchase up to 5 additional days.
• Discount schemes - discounts on shopping, dining, travel, and onsite facilities like our gym and childcare nurseries.
• Family-friendly policies - including enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay.
• Professional development opportunities - including development days, funded apprenticeships, and courses.
• And much more - see the Staff Benefits booklet attached for details.
Working in a vibrant and inclusive further education college is an inspiring experience. Our staff focus on delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and support, with a diverse student body, positive atmosphere, support services, innovative teaching, community engagement, and celebration of individual differences. It’s an environment fostering personal growth and collaboration to change lives through learning.
The working pattern for this role will be discussed at interview.
