Job Title: Lodge Manager
Location: Eddington Lodge, Kendal, Cumbria
Salary: £23,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am to 17:00 pm with 1 hour for lunch
About Eddington Lodge
Eddington Lodge is a stunning new collection of 64 retirement apartments nestled in the charming market town of Kendal, within the South Lakeland District of Cumbria.
About the Role
Churchill Estates Management offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, with a background in administration and customer service, to join our retirement development as a Lodge Manager. This role involves organizing activities, coordinating the development, managing contractors, conducting health and safety checks, and more.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will manage property maintenance and deliver first-class service to Owners. You will act as the trusted on-site contact, liaising with residents, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
About You
You should have a passion for excellent customer service, an outgoing personality, and a love for working with people. You need to act with sensitivity and diplomacy, be efficient and assertive, and able to manage safety and security effectively. While social contact with residents is high, you should also be comfortable working independently and using your initiative.
Strong administrative skills and computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, are essential for organizing events and maintaining the site.
This role is well-suited to individuals with experience in retirement living, social housing, hospitality, uniformed services, charity, or health & social care sectors. A successful Lodge Manager is someone who enjoys front-of-house roles and is committed to providing exceptional customer service.
