Freelance Consultant Programme Manager – the CEO’s closest collaborator
3 days a week | £35-£50k experience dependent
12-month contract | Key project | Remote-first | Regular organisation meets in London | In-person retreats
Help Lead One of the Most Ambitious Human Development Programmes in the UK
A Million Realities exists to equip the leaders our world needs—those with the courage, skill and self-awareness to take on the root causes of societal breakdown. Our two-year flagship programme is built for changemakers tackling complex problems.
We’re now looking for a Freelance Consultant Programme Manager who is ready for real scope and influence. You’ll be the operational force behind the vision, scoping, automating and running a complex programme end-to-end, acting as the CEO’s closest collaborator as the organisation develops.
✨Who You Are
You’re a rare blend: emotionally intelligent, operationally precise, and deeply values-led. You’ve likely worked in high-performing, mission-driven environments—perhaps fellowships, startups, incubators or experimental education settings—where clarity, delivery, and flexibility were non-negotiable.
But your edge isn’t just technical—it’s personal. You:
* Hold your own with intensity and complexity, while staying open, grounded and calm
* Can speak the language of systems and the language of people
* Are alive to the subtle dynamics of power, money, status, and emotion—and take responsibility for your own role within them
* Are curious about inner work, human development, and the intersection of personal and systemic transformation
* Know how to hold boundaries and build trust
* Are not just okay with ownership—you’re hungry for it
* Love being a freelance consultant— working independently, managing your own time and integrating a role like this alongside other projects that energise you
🛠️ What You’ll Own
Over the next 12 months you’ll be responsible for making our flagship two-year programme efficient, scalable and impactful.
Programme Delivery & Operations
* Lead the full programme lifecycle: from application to onboarding, retreats to alumni
* Build and maintain elegant systems and automations to support seamless delivery
* Design and own back-end infrastructure (Notion, Airtable, etc.) that scales with us
* Monitor performance, track impact, and report insights to internal stakeholders
Community & Comms
* Be the warm, clear point of contact for applicants, fellows and alumni
* Build self-serve resources to reduce comms overhead while strengthening connection
* Support messaging across newsletters, blogs and our community platform
Innovation & CEO Support
* Work closely with the CEO to turn vision into delivery
* Help test new formats, events and experiments to grow our reach and deepen our impact
* Contribute to organisational strategy with insight, challenge and care
On Retreat
* Partner with our Head of Expeditions to ensure every detail of delivery is thought through and held before, during and after each retreat
💡Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership-adjacent role in a small, bold, mission-first organisation. You’ll help shape a pioneering initiative, working with ambitious, self-aware people committed to real transformation—personally, relationally, and societally.
You’ll get:
* Real responsibility and influence—this role is central to the success of our work
* A culture that takes personal development, inner work and boundaries seriously
* Flexibility in how you work (we’re remote-first, but we do meet in-person)
* You’ll get to travel and experience extraordinary locations
* You’ll benefit from development opportunities that are part of our culture
* You’ll work closely with our Founder, Trustees and CEO
* The chance to work on something that matters, at a time when it matters deeply
🧭 Our Ethos
We’re not just looking for skills. We’re looking for someone who gets us. You believe that:
* Real change requires both inner and outer work
* Accountability is an act of integrity, not punishment
* Community is built through clarity, care and deep attention
