Overview
Finance Assistant role on the Buyers Team supporting the University’s purchasing and finance functions.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact in the Buyers Team.
* Convert requisitions into purchase orders for goods and services.
* Handle travel bookings and purchase order housekeeping activities.
* Provide finance‑related support and advice to staff and students via Teams and email.
* Maintain a customer‑service focus and a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications
* Interest in finance; prior finance experience not essential.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of budgeting and adherence to policy.
Contract
12‑month fixed term, full‑time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
