Job title: Manufacturing Technician
Job description: Laser etching, vapour honing, sanding, parts cleaning and packing, light assembly and inspection of precision metal and plastic components throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
* Laser etching of new and existing jobs to the customers specification whilst following the correct procedures (training provided)
* Vapour honing and sanding of machined components to the customers specification (training given)
* Cleaning of machined components using ultrasonic tanks to help maintain a high level of product quality
* Support the quality department by carrying out in-process inspection of machined components using various handheld and visual measuring equipment
* Light assembly of components to customer specification following correct procedures and work instructions
* Packaging of machine parts prior to next processes
* Train and assist other team members whenever required
* Always adhere to site Health and Safety standards
* Maintain a clean working environment, work in a safe and professional manner always
* Contribute to continuous improvement of plant efficiencies and performance.
* Any other general duties as required
Competencies – (Training will be given)
* Able to interpret engineering drawings
* Competent in the use of handheld measuring equipment
* Basic IT skills
* Knowledge of materials such as stainless steels, steels, aluminium, brass, copper, and various plastics
* Capable of providing accurate and consistent data to support Short Interval Control of equipment performance.
* Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement of plant performance.
* Lean Manufacturing principles and practices and ability to apply Lean tools and techniques (5S, OEE measurement, quick kaizen, identification, and elimination of wastes).
