Join PGG Wrightson Seeds as a Graduate Agronomist to contribute to field trials and seed production research in a leading Southern Hemisphere seed company.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
* Designing, conducting, and analysing field trials using best scientific practice.
* Assessing new agrichemical products for their potential in PGW Seeds contracted crops.
* Sharing findings with growers, agronomy reps, and industry stakeholders through meetings, workshops, and field days.
* Supporting the commercialisation of products and practices that deliver better outcomes for growers.
* Working as part of a supportive research team at the Kimihia Research Centre.
About You
The company is looking for:
* A tertiary qualification in plant science, agriculture, or a related field (essential).
* Knowledge of agronomy and plant science, with a strong interest in applied research.
* Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and work well in a team.
* Good computer skills, including Excel and statistical analysis.
* A willingness to work extended hours when required to meet seasonal demands.
