The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Inspector to join our team at the Shotton Paper Mill Project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical installations, maintaining the highest standards across all phases of construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities

Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical installations and machinery to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
*
Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Monitor and document the installation process, ensuring adherence to quality plans and procedures
*
Identify and report non-conformities, recommending and following up on corrective actions
*
Collaborate with project engineers and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues
*
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities
*
Assist in the development and implementation of QA/QC procedures and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
*
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
*
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector, specifically in machinery installation
*
In-depth knowledge of QA/QC standards, codes, and regulations
*
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
*
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*
Proficient with inspection tools and equipment
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Certification in QA/QC or related fields (advantageous)
*
Valid equivalent CSCS card
*
Availability to work Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:30
