An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs) or Pharmacist Prescribers to join our Lincolnshire Recovery Service, part of the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, starting April 2024. The partnership, delivered by Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact, aims to provide integrated substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire.
As a community-based NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will be involved in opiate substitute treatment (OST), benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, relapse prevention medications, and support for health assessments. You will administer detox medications, provide Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations, and work closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
You will participate in prescriber meetings, clinical supervision, and national meetings to support your professional development. Full training and supervision will be provided. The role offers opportunities to shape service delivery and contribute to high-quality clinical services.
Applicants should be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or be a qualified Pharmacist and an independent prescriber. You should be confident in managing prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications, with excellent communication and organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting diverse needs.
Our organization operates on a not-for-profit basis, reinvesting in services and staff. We offer a total reward package including NMC or GPhC registration renewal fees paid, 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service), and additional benefits detailed at Turning Point Benefits.
