We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Payroll Manager to join our team based in Wythall, Birmingham.
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
As our Group Payroll Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and oversee payroll operations for around 6,000 employees across the UK and Ireland. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within a core business function, contributing to the wider employee experience across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a team of three payroll professionals
* Managing monthly payroll processing for approximately 6,000 employees in the UK and Ireland
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (HMRC, tax, NI, pensions, etc.)
* Handling payroll escalations, audits, and stakeholder communication
* Driving process improvements and automation
* Collaborating with HR Systems to optimise payroll systems
* Producing payroll reports, cost summaries, and analysis
* Supporting employees and internal teams with payroll and benefits queries
Requirements
* Experience as a Payroll Manager or similar, preferably in a large, multi-site organisation
* Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation
* Leadership skills with experience managing a team
* Continuous improvement mindset and system enhancement skills
* Attention to detail and high accuracy
* Advanced Excel skills and data handling confidence
Desirable
* Irish payroll knowledge
* CIPP or CIPD qualification or similar
