Summary
Senior Rehabilitation Specialist responsible for delivering Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes, including remote and in-person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting. The role is part of Nuffield’s long‑term vision for clinical rehabilitation and involves a mix of one‑to‑one and group sessions.
Responsibilities
* Organise and run rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying degrees of ability and physical function.
* Promote self‑directed activity using pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a journal to aid participants in self‑managing their condition after the 12‑week programme.
* Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular progress demonstrated by changes in effort and performance.
* Identify any deterioration of participants, follow internal escalation processes, and ensure reporting within the required timeframe.
* Engage in weekly 1:1 telephone conversations with each participant to offer coaching, set short‑term and long‑term goals, monitor progress, and provide emotional wellbeing support.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
* Excellent IT skills and ability to deliver remote and in‑person sessions.
* Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist or similar role (preferred).
* Understanding of rehabilitation, with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation considered desirable.
* Strong problem‑solving, diagnostic, organisational, decision‑making, time and resource management skills.
* Good English communication and numeracy skills.
