Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. Our Engineer Surveyors visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations.
What you’ll do
* Anticipate client needs and help ensure they comply with relevant legislation.
* Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team and Senior Operations Team Leaders.
* Prepare reports following inspections using electronic reporting for fast delivery to clients.
* Carry out hands‑on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
* Work in a physically demanding environment, potentially working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, climbing, and in hot and cold conditions.
What we’re looking for
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical‑related subject.
* Full, valid UK driving licence.
* Experience with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, and practical experience in manufacturing, repair or maintenance.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules and procedures in the lift and crane discipline.
* Strong customer interaction skills, good oral and written communication.
* Ability to self‑manage work, plan and diary meetings, travel effectively within local area, and complete documentation and general administration.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors when required.
* Self‑driven passion for engineering.
Essential & Desirable Skills
* Essential: NVQ Level 3 or above, full UK driving licence, time‑management skills, comfort using tablets and smartphones.
* Desirable: Incorporated Engineer.
Salary & Benefits
Starting Salary £44,213 + Company Car. Salary increases for the first two years with annual performance‑related bonus.
