About the Role
We seek an Assistant Garment Technologist to support our Garment Technology Team by managing administration throughout the production process, collaborating with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure quality, fit, and production standards are met on schedule.
Responsibilities
* Ensure prototypes, fits, and Gold Seals meet specifications and brand standards.
* Support the team with fit comments, specifications, amendments, and size charts, communicating clearly with the supply base.
* Experience with PLM systems is advantageous.
* Maintain test reports for fabrics, yarns, interlinings, trims, and artwork at the proto stage.
* Coordinate bulk and garment testing, balancing quality and costs.
* Conduct wearer trials for new fabrics or high-risk styles and act accordingly.
Additional Tasks
* Perform regular visits to the warehouse and stores to assess quality, manufacture, and customer use, including AQL inspections.
* Review monthly quality reports and implement necessary actions.
* Coordinate fit reviews to ensure consistent and correct brand fit.
* Manage workload according to schedules and critical paths.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
* Maintain organized department files and workstations.
