For this apprenticeship you will be allocated a site/s from the Head Guildford Office. Sites will be located across the South East of England/London but travel will be kept to a minimum. You will be supporting the on‑site management team in all aspects of the building process.
Wage
£16,224 to £25,775.88, depending on your age

Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 5.00pm – a full working week with one day spent at college to gain the qualifications for this apprenticeship.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on‑the‑job by getting hands‑on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Help to ensure that projects are planned and completed in a timely, safe manner.
* Study daily diary to record site events and requirements.
* Learn standards for inspections of all operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner.
* Comply with the site‑specific environmental action plan requirements.
* Understand site boundaries, access points and site office procedures.
* Build relationships with other business unit teams like sales and commercial.
* liaise with site management team on CITB inspection visits.
* Manage and coordinate the safe and tidy storage of material delivered to the site.
* Shadow and report to the business unit production director on specific development targets and objectives.

Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
* Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety‑conscious behaviours.
* Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
* Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
* Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
* Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
* Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
* Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
* This apprenticeship is a standard qualification titled "Construction Site Supervisor" at Level 4 which is equivalent to an HNC.
* Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment.
* Weekly day release.
More training information
* Working with the on‑site management team you will be taught how to manage sub‑contractor packages. Check work carried out meets the quality expected.
* Will learn how to work with commercial team and sub‑contractors to ensure budgets are controlled and checked.
* Overcome issues.
* Health and Safety to be observed and complied with at all times.
Requirements
GCSE in:
* Maths, English and three other subjects (grade 4 or C).
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

* Sites may be located on the edge of town so applicants may need a form of travel like a car, motor bike or bicycle.

We employ and mentor the apprentice and place them with our construction partners and colleges to gain the correct experience & skills to complete their qualifications.
