We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to join our Logistics Warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating a safe and compliant working environment, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Summary of role
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of all warehouse staff by implementing and maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental practices. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, delivering training, and advising on improvements to reduce workplace risks. Your efforts will directly contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the operation.

What you will be doing as Health & Safety Officer:
* Develop and implement best practices in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across the warehouse.
* Collaborate with management to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Conduct regular safety inspections, drills, and training sessions to promote awareness and preparedness.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain and update HSE policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring clear communication to all staff.
* Compile and analyze safety data to produce reports and identify trends for continuous improvement.
* Deliver Health & Safety training and refresher courses tailored to staff roles and responsibilities.
* Advise warehouse teams on risk reduction strategies and improvements to workplace safety.
Our Ideal Person:
* Has a proactive and detail-oriented approach to Health & Safety management.
* Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to influence and educate others.
* Holds relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or equivalent experience.
* Is confident in conducting investigations and presenting findings clearly and constructively.
* Thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
* Champions a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
