Organisational Design & Transformation Consultant
My client, a leading Oil and Gas group, is seeking to hire an experienced Organisational Design Consultant to support transformation initiatives.
The role will focus on designing and implementing operating models and organisational structures that enable commercial growth, product innovation, and efficient go-to-market delivery.
This role is suited to a consultant with deep experience in organisational design, coupled with energy commodities or data-driven commercial experience, that will likely have been gained in a top-tier consulting environment (McKinsey, Bain, BCG). Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver organisational design and operating model reviews across commercial, product, and customer-facing teams.
* Assess current structures, spans and layers, decision rights, governance, and accountability, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, alignment, and performance.
* Design target operating models that support subscription growth, product development, and commercial delivery across international markets.
* Align organisational design with customer, commercial, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring teams are equipped to respond to evolving market demands.
* Support enterprise and functional transformation programmes, from strategy translation to implementation planning and change management.
* Define roles, capabilities, and workforce implications, ensuring structures support scalability and long-term business objectives.
* Facilitate workshops and leadership sessions to drive consensus on organisational priorities and ways of working.
* Develop high-quality deliverables, including executive presentations, organisation blueprints, and transformation roadmaps.
* Partner with senior leaders to manage stakeholder expectations, dependencies, and implementation risks in a complex, international environment.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in organisational design, operating model, or transformation projects within the energy, commodities, or subscription data / insights sector.
* Strong understanding of commercial, product, and customer-facing operations in energy markets.
* Experience working on go-to-market, product, or commercial transformation initiatives.
* Familiarity with consulting methodologies for organisational design (spans and layers, decision rights, governance, capability mapping).
* Experience within a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or equivalent strategy / transformation environment is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to translate insights into actionable organisational solutions.
* Skilled at engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and driving organisational alignment.
* Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
