Overview
art-K is a private art education service teaching children weekly during the day, after school and on weekends. We run a specialist program that tutors art skills to create high-quality pieces. We are the largest art education service in England, teaching over 7,000 students weekly. Our Maidstone branch has a supportive team and a dedicated group of students.
Responsibilities
* Teach with high teacher-pupil ratios, engaging children who love art.

* Be part of a strong team of like-minded art teachers.
* Embark on a 2-year training programme across teaching, art techniques, child development, systems and customer engagement.
* Receive face-to-face training on all art projects from Kathryn, the Creative Director.
* Undergo training in administration and growth intrinsic to the club's development.
* Contribute to the art-K programme by liaising with the whole team on projects.
* Build relationships with students and parents for long-term engagement with art-K.
* Manage ad-hoc studio maintenance.

Qualifications (Ideal)
* Art degree or teaching degree (ideally).
* Art skills across a range of mediums.
* Experience teaching children.
* Strong computer skills.
* Long-term commitment to previous roles.

Schedule, Salary & Location
Schedule: Monday 10:00 – 18:00 (optional), Wednesday 12:00 – 20:00, Thursday 9:30 – 17:30, Friday 10:00 – 18:00, Saturday 8:30 – 16:30
Total: 32 hours per week (without Monday) or 40 hours per week (including Monday)
Start date: 1 December 2025
Salary: £28,230 – £42,956 (fixed salary weighted by experience; reviewed each term)
Location: 34 Royal Star Arcade, Maidstone ME14 1JL
Term time: Mondays to Saturdays; in school holidays Club Managers work Monday to Friday (14 weeks per year).
