We are assisting a leading Top 200, full-service law firm and wealth management services based in the Midlands who are looking for an experienced Family Paralegal to join the team in Lincoln. The role will involve supporting fee earners with a caseload of family matters and is ideal for someone with some experience in Family law looking to progress their career.
Responsibilities include:
* Acting as the first point of contact for clients, handling enquiries with sensitivity and professionalism, providing clear information on legal processes, and ensuring clients feel supported throughout their case.
* Conducting client meetings under supervision, gathering essential information for case preparation, taking detailed instructions, and ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained.
* Carrying out in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and procedural rules relevant to family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, and child arrangements, to support solicitors in case strategy and argument development.
* Attending court hearings alongside solicitors and barristers, taking comprehensive notes, assisting with case files, and ensuring all required documents and evidence are prepared and available for proceedings.
* Providing case support to all fee earners within the department across multiple office locations, assisting with legal drafting, case management, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth progression of family law matters.
What we need from you:
* Experience as a Paralegal in Family Law.
* Proficient in case management systems with knowledge of divorce, financial settlements, private law children matters, nuptial agreements, and injunctive relief applications.
* Excellent written, numerical, and communication skills
* Adaptable, proactive, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of integrity and client care.
