Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Baking cakes, pastries.
* Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any repairs needed
Qualifications
* Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
* Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
* Excellent communication skills to effectively lead and motivate staff
