Role Description: As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects and programs with commercial aspects. Your responsibilities will include:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for fire protection projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets.
Procurement and Contract Management:
Source materials and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor agreements.
Project Cost Control:
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments as needed.
Variations and Claims:
Assess variations and claims related to project changes.
Work closely with stakeholders to resolve any disputes.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of project costs, invoices, and payments.
Generate regular reports for management.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in surveying, preferably with passive fire protection knowledge.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, project management software).
