We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Carers to join our dynamic care team(days and nights) In this vital role, you will lead the delivery of high-quality personal care and support to individuals in need, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. As a Senior Carer, you will serve as a role model for junior staff, ensuring that care standards are consistently met and that residents or clients feel valued and respected. Your energetic approach and proactive attitude will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for everyone under your care.
Duties
* Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
* Support residents' emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful conversations and recreational activities tailored to individual interests.
* Lead by example in adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures and medication management.
* Supervise and mentor junior carers, offering guidance, training, and support to foster professional development.
* Monitor residents' health status closely, recognizing changes or concerns promptly and reporting them to healthcare professionals as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs, medication administration, and incident reports.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review personalized care plans that reflect each individual's needs and preferences.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a caregiving or support worker role within a residential or nursing home setting.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to personal care services.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents and team members.
* Ability to lead by example, motivate others, and work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are highly desirable but not mandatory.
