Team Manager - Fostering & Kinship Care
* Location: Darlington Borough Council (Blended Working: Home/Office)
* Pay Rate: £36.61 per hour
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Contract: Agency / Temporary
Are you an experienced social work manager with a passion for supporting carers and ensuring the best outcomes for children? Darlington Borough Council is looking for a skilled Agency Team Manager to lead our dedicated Fostering and Kinship Care Team.
This team provides vital assessment, supervision, and review support to both foster carers and family/kinship carers. If you are a strong leader with experience in fostering services and panel processes, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Supervision: Provide robust oversight, guidance, and regular supervision to a team of qualified Social Workers conducting assessments of prospective carers.
* Panel Attendance: Attend the Fostering Panel as the responsible and accountable Team Manager.
* Service Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end support, supervision, and review processes for foster and kinship carers to ensure high standards of practice and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, BA/MA in Social Work).
* Active Social Work England registration.
* Proven management experience within a Fostering, Kinship, or Looked After Children (LAC) service.
* Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards, and panel procedures.
