Senior Accountant – Future Client Manager
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience + study support

Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for a Senior Accountant with the ambition to progress into a Client Manager role.

The Role
This role is designed to develop into a Client Manager position, where you will ultimately manage your own portfolio of clients.
Initially, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
* Producing management accounts
* Corporation tax and personal tax compliance
* Supporting clients with Xero and other cloud accounting software
* Client onboarding and cloud system set-up
* Communicating directly with clients and answering queries
* Supporting the senior team with advisory work
Over time, the role will develop into managing your own client portfolio and acting as a trusted adviser to business owners.
About You
The firm is looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working closely with clients.
You should have:
* Minimum 3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
* Experience preparing accounts for limited companies
* Experience with VAT returns and management accounts
* Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ideally you will also be:
* ACCA / ACA qualified or studying
* Xero certified (preferred but not essential)
* Familiar with practice software such as IRIS
