We are looking for dedicated individuals to join the governing board of our local authority maintained school in Hatfield. As a school governor, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of the school, support and challenge the headteacher, and ensure accountability for educational performance and financial management. This is a voluntary role that offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the success and wellbeing of children and young people. No specific qualifications are required—just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn. Join us and help every pupil reach their full potential. The FGB meets five times a year; the meetings are a mix of face-to-face and online. There would be occasional visits to the school.
