Role Summary
The post holder will be expected to deliver 4-5 clinical sessions per week, including endoscopy and outpatient clinics. Training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EUS, ERCP, enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy) is available. Opportunities exist to gain experience in nutrition and intestinal failure.
The focus is on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The post holder will manage inpatient and outpatient IBD patients, support IBD nurse specialists, and participate in clinical trials.
They will join the Exeter IBD Research Group and develop their own research project, with support to attend regional, national, and international IBD meetings.
Participation in out-of-hours rota is optional. Educational supervision and support are provided.
