Development Engineer
We are seeking Graduate/Trainee Electronics and Electrical Engineers eager to develop their design engineering skills. As a Development Engineer, you will support the development of designs and product testing under guidance and supervision.
Development Engineer Responsibilities
1. Collaborate within a project team, reporting to the project manager or technical lead.
2. Contribute to initial design structures.
3. Build and test development units.
4. Create parts lists, wiring schedules, and source components.
5. Assemble and test manufactured PCBs.
6. Perform inspections and testing, including fault finding on hardware.
7. Design electrical and electronic elements and sub-assemblies of test systems.
8. Adhere to project timelines and budgets.
9. Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to clarify requirements and meet specifications.
10. Maintain accurate electrical drawing packages, including schematics, bill of materials, and wiring schedules.
11. Coordinate with manufacturing teams during assembly and testing, providing status updates to the project manager.
Development Engineer Requirements
1. Understanding of manufacturing requirements related to electrical production.
2. Ability to manage multiple projects.
3. Problem anticipation and solution assessment skills.
4. Methodical and organized approach to work and documentation.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Strong team player with precision and accuracy.
7. Ability to interpret electronic drawings.
8. Good fault-finding skills.
9. Formal qualification in electronic or electrical design engineering.
10. Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance.
11. Familiarity with analog and digital interface circuits.
12. Experience with AutoCAD or similar design/drawing software is advantageous.
13. Experience with National Instruments hardware/software is advantageous.
