Overview
We’re seeking Entry Level Sales Assistants to help sell the products and services that customers rely on. The Sales Assistant will gain a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who is willing to learn negotiating skills and an ability to showcase their clients offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and skills workshops, you must be both personable and professional.
Base pay range
Industry: Sales and Marketing
Location: Central Nottingham (commute required on a daily basis)
Seniority: Entry Level (no experience required)
Commitment Needed: 5 full days per week, Monday-Friday
This role is offered on a self-employed basis and all earnings are paid on a commission-based structure plus a day rate.
Objectives of this role
* Represent a brand’s products and services, using consumer research and knowledge of how the brand ads solutions meet customer needs (training provided).
* Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by implementing sales and marketing strategies.
* Generate leads and build relationships by organizing a daily work schedule to meet potential customers.
* Develop and implement territory action plans using data analysis and adjust sales techniques accordingly.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and gain relationships with existing and potential customers in event-based sales environments to ensure exceptional service and identify new sales opportunities.
* Identify prospects, make effective qualifying sales pitches, and manage the sales cycle to close new customers.
* Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections.
* Provide feedback to executive leadership on market insights and potential strategies to boost sales.
* Achieve sales goals by assessing current customer needs and following a defined selling process, often including product demos and/or presentations.
* Coordinate with other sales advisors to ensure quotas are met and company standards are upheld.
Required skills and qualifications
* Must be able to work full time in the UK with no restrictions or limitations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
* Proficiency with computers and tablets
* Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism or willingness to learn these skills
* Must be able to commute to Nottingham each working day.
Preferred skills and qualifications
* Ideally 6 months experience in a customer-facing position like retail, hospitality, customer service, care, sales, or any similar sector
* Persuasion and negotiation skills
