We are recruiting SEND Pastoral Support Workers / SEND Teaching Assistants to join welcoming, supportive schools across the Bristol area. ⭐ Key Responsibilities (SEND Pastoral & TA Duties)
* Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils with SEND needs
* Support students 1:1 and in small groups with confidence, behaviour and emotional regulation
* Assist teachers with personalised learning, behaviour strategies and structured routines
* Help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported
* Use initiative, stay proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced SEND setting
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency and care
* Promote resilience, independence and positive behaviour choices

⭐ Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in youth mentoring, sports coaching, behaviour support, or supporting young people
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with empathy
* A proactive, adaptable and positive working style
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience in SEND schools, pastoral work or SEN support
* Understanding of Autism, SEMH, trauma‑informed approaches or behaviour management
* Experience planning or leading activities/sessions
* Driver with access to a car (preferred but not essential)
* Additional training such as safeguarding or first aid
