* Strong subject knowledge in food science, nutrition, practical cookery, food safety and hygiene; comfortable planning both theory and practical lessons.
* Skilled at engaging students in practical learning, with the ability to differentiate and scaffold for a range of abilities to ensure all students succeed.
* Excellent communicator, able to inspire confidence, independence and curiosity in female students; enthusiastic about practical work and its links to real-life contexts.
