The Role
As a Field Technician, you will:

Carry out a wide variety of materials testing on construction sites.
*
Undertake structural investigations using specialist scanning technology.
*
Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
*
Record and upload results, including performing calculations.
*
Attend sites nationwide, with occasional overnight stays (approx. 10%).
*
Start with a structured training programme, working alongside experienced technicians.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
*
A pro-active, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn.
*
A full UK driving licence (essential).
*
Flexibility for occasional nights away and night shifts (less than 10%).
*
Engineering-related qualification preferred but not essential.
*
Experience in construction or interpreting technical drawings beneficial.
*
Commitment to building a long-term career — our client is investing for the future.
What’s on Offer
*
£28,000 – £35,000 basic salary (DOE) with rapid earning potential.
*
Regular overtime (c.15% of basic) plus enhanced weekend rates (Sat x1.5, Sun x2).
*
£40/night allowance for overnight stays or night shifts, with hotels, meals, and travel covered.
*
Company van, laptop, iPad, iPhone, and full PPE provided.
*
Paid travel time for M25-based staff.
*
BUPA healthcare (after probation).
*
20 days holiday + bank holidays.
*
Full ongoing training and development within a supportive team.
