We have an exciting opportunity to join the Wolfson Fertility Team.
If you join us you will have the opportunity to:
1. Develop your fertility, surgical, and gynaecological nursing skills in a supportive environment.
2. Provide a high standard of care for your patients.
3. Work alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team including specialist fertility nurses, embryologists and doctors.
4. You will work as a part of Multidisciplinary Team with additional support from our Clinical Practice Educator.
There are many learning opportunities available including, fertility, theatre, egg collections, embryo transfers, basic scanning, pain management, health promotion, patient education, pre-operative, intra operative and post procedure care, patient observation and discharge planning.

Main duties of the job
5. Provide specialist, high quality care and support for women and men with sub fertility problems being assessed, co-ordinated or cared for within Imperial, and in liaison with the multi diciplinary team and other relevant health and care agencies.
6. Act as a resource for patients and the clinical and administrative teams by provision of advice, information, teaching and training within.
7. Provide clinical decision-making and work towards independent practice, monitoring and improving standards of care.
8. Updating own knowledge and skills to promote excellence in clinical practice, and the setting of quality standards within the speciality of sub fertility.
9. Contribute to clinical audit of service and outcomes.
10. Active involvement in supporting the development of the Fertility service.

EDUCATION
Essential criteria
11. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
12. Evidence of continuing professional development
13. Relevant nursing/health related degree
14. Teaching or Mentorship course or equivalent
Desirable criteria
15. Qualification in ultrasound scanning
16. Gynaecology or Fertility related qualification
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Essential criteria
17. Able to handle difficult and emotional clinical situations and to communicate distressing news in a caring and compassionate manner
18. Demonstrates ability or potential to undertake nurse-led clinics
19. Ability to support and facilitate changes in practice
20. Able to produce good quality patient information and SOP’s/guidelines relevant to area of practice
Desirable criteria
21. Independent prescriber
22. Advanced clinical assessment skills
23. Intrauterine insemination skills
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
24. Recent experience working in an assisted conception unit
25. Knowledge of current trends/treatments in fertility and reproductive medicine
26. Good understanding of clinical governance and quality management in health care
