Registered Manager Residential Children's Home Colchester Essex CO1 We are looking for a Children's Home Manager to join our recently rated GOOD 5 bed Children's Home located in Colchester Essex The organisation specialises in providing therapeutic care to children and young people who have EBD and complex needs * You will be required to work Monday- Friday. * 40 hours per week * There will be on-call duties * Flexibility essential * £48-£58k plus KPI bonus. Registered Manager Key Skill / Experience: * · Managerial role within a Children's Residential setting: 2 years (Required) * · Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Required) * · Must have at least 2 years of experience working with young people in Residential Care and at least 1 years of experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in Children homes * · Candidate must have previous experience in a role requiring supervision and management of care staff. * · Be able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills * · Can evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting. * · Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals. * · Has a good working knowledge of Children’s homes regulations and the Social care common inspection framework * · Has strong values and beliefs * · Has integrity and good character * · Can evidence experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams Registered Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to: * Provide care for the children/young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, aged 8 - 17 years. Your role will be to ensure the home operates in compliance with the standards and regulations set out in the Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 * To implement and work in accordance with all aspects of the Statement of Purpose within the Children’s Home * To Manage and oversee the daily operations of the home whilst advocating for the children and young people enabling them to thrive and reach the best possible outcomes * Understanding and knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and policy, and an understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality standards and implementing into practice. * Working in line with the Ofsted SCCIF (Social Care Common Inspection Framework) * Developing and supervising a staff teams, with the delegations of tasks to the staff team as appropriate to their roles and responsibilities. * To be part of an on-call system * To work alongside the Responsible Individual and commissioned psychologists and other therapists, to invest in, and develop the rolling out of the Organisation’s Therapeutically Informed Training programme, and to continue to build on this through embedded day to day practices.
