Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with Lambeth Talking Therapies as part of an NHS IAPT service.
Training & Employment
The role is a trainee PWP employed through South London & Maudsley NHS Trust. Trainees will be enrolled with University College London (UCL) to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions.
Training days: one day per week at UCL; service days: four days per week. The programme fee is fully funded by the NHS and trainees receive a salary from the London IAPT service.
Responsibilities
* Provide low intensity cognitive behavioural interventions to adults via telephone, digital platforms, and face‑to‑face.
* Participate in training sessions, supervision and reflective practice.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and attend required meetings.
* Adhere to NICE and IAPT best practice guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree level education or equivalent evidence of academic aptitude for postgraduate study.
* Experience working with people who have psychological, interpersonal or social problems, in paid or voluntary roles.
* Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity supporting individuals struggling with mental health.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Eligibility
International students and applicants who require sponsorship are not eligible. Applicants must be based in the UK.
