What you will be doing
As an engineer, you'll be responding to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, ensuring customers Smart Meters are working correctly. You will be completing the installation and removal of Smart Meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, doing around 5 jobs per day. You'll be travelling around your area using your tablet to see your jobs for the day, and you will have access to your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance. You will also be provided with continuous training to maintain and develop your skills. Health and safety is at the heart of everything you do, and on onboarding you will be prepared to be an ambassador for health and safety. You will be on weekly meetings, with field managers available to offer help or assistance. Customer service is our top priority; you'll ensure that all jobs are completed on time and that customers understand the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter.
This role will be within our Metering team, and you'll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector. We provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters. You will be installing, maintaining and managing meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.
What you'll bring
* Valid UK driving licence
* You must have held your licence for 1 year and have less than 6 points
* CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel; experience installing gas and electric smart meters
* Experience with MOCOPA to a multi-rate level
