Offer description

As part of the Provide multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy service for children in education who present with developmental concerns.

* To work with children and their families in their educational setting and any other appropriate setting as well as within the children's centre.
* To contribute to and participate in the organisation, planning and development of the occupational therapy service to this care group.
* To participate in setting the standards of care and monitoring the quality of service and referral/waiting times.
* To own a car and hold a full clean driving licence and appropriate insurance.
* To gain consent and undertake occupational therapy assessment, formulate and implement treatment plans using specialist knowledge and experience. With knowledge of a wide range of paediatric conditions and treatment modalities to interpret and analyse clinical facts using advanced clinical reasoning and problem solving skills in a wide range of conditions and recommend the best course of intervention.

Practitioners and staff at Band 7 have a critical awareness of knowledge issues in the field and at the interface between different fields.

They are innovative and have a responsibility for developing and changing practice/services in a complex and unpredictable environment.

They are experienced professionals who have developed their skills and theoretical knowledge to a very high standard.

They perform a highly complex role and have management responsibilities for a work area.
