We are hrilled to be partnering with an amazing secondary school in Dereham, rated “Good” by Ofsted, to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Science Teacher for a permanent role starting in September 2025.

As a Science Teacher at this welcoming secondary school, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality science education to students across Key Stage 3 and 4 (Years 7-11). You will play a crucial role in fostering a love for science, encouraging critical thinking, and preparing students for their GCSEs and beyond.
Responsibilities:
* Planning, preparing, and delivering outstanding Science lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 11, ensuring a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Assessing, monitoring, recording, and reporting on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils.
* Creating a positive, stimulating, and challenging learning environment that inspires and motivates students.
* Utilising a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Participating in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
* Fostering strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Desirable: Ability to teach Science at A-Level
Requirements:
* QTS desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
* Proven experience teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and 4 (Years 7-11) in a UK secondary school.
* A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Science.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
* Passion for your subject and a genuine desire to inspire students.
* Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
