Job Purpose : Delivering all planning activities within a contract. Informing and advising Project/Contract Manager and key contract stakeholders on the plan performance of the contract through plans, forecasts, histograms, analysis, control measures, S-curves, and reporting. Preparing and issuing plans and deliverables on time and to expected quality standards including trending and schedule risk analysis with narrative. Establishing and developing good working relationships with client project controls counterparts and demonstrating high levels of professional conduct and discipline. Key Responsibilities : Attending all planning meetings within the contract. Developing WBS, baselines, schedules, and the regular monitoring of such. Identification and reporting of planning risk and supporting the management of change, growth, and variation. Production of regular planning reports with accompanying narrative, in line with business and client requirements, which may include histograms, s-curves, and planner boards. Analysis of schedule attainment, SPI/CPI, resource levels, critical paths, float, and other metrics, as required. Providing cover for Planners, as required. Providing support/training to other members of the planning, and project teams. Compliance with planning procedures and templates and supporting the periodic audit work to ensure consistency of application use. Maintaining and following specific work instructions. Be fully conversant with applications, IGRIS, Insights, Power BI, etc. Daily interfacing with project team and project controls team to ensure accurate reporting and trustworthy data sets. Skills & Qualifications : Essential: Previous experience in a Planning role. Experience of “cradle to grave” project lifecycles. Strong working knowledge of project controls theory and practices. Primavera experience Excellent Excel skills Desirable: HNC or higher qualifications preferred Key Competencies : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving ability. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Work Environment/Conditions : Office: Determined by assigned project/contract. Full-Time: 37.5-hours per week.
