About the Home
Westcombe Park is a modern care home situated in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood of south-east London. It provides nursing or residential care, as well as respite and convalescence care. Bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated, with many en suite and some double rooms available for couples. The home is close to local transport links and amenities, with a bus route stopping directly outside and convenient access to the A2.
Staff focus on the person, creating a friendly environment with an appropriate balance of care and independence. Food is a priority with well-crafted menus and consideration of personal preferences and dietary needs. There is a strong sense of community with activities aligned to residents\' interests.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of requirements from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents\' behaviour with care and document and report changes in line with required legislation.
* Support residents\' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
What We\'re Looking For
* Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
