Position Summary
The role involves performing routine and emergency service calls, troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing malfunctioning equipment. The technician works independently and may train junior staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform service calls, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
* Proctor, coach, and train others as needed.
* Provide high-quality customer support and instruction.
* Test systems and verify signals.
* Maintain inventory and organize resources.
* Ensure task progress and documentation of work performed.
* Complete all required documentation timely.
* Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Undertake additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Expertise in troubleshooting intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
* Knowledge of local and national codes.
* Proficiency with test equipment like multimeters and battery analyzers.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening.
* Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and policies in English.
Certifications/Licensing
* Obtain and maintain required product certifications/licenses.
* Proficiency in Everon Commercial’s Tier 1 products (50-75%).
Work Environment
* Exposure to weather, electrical hazards, and harsh environments.

Physical Requirements
* Regularly stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, push, pull, climb, kneel, and crouch.
* Use vision in various capacities.
* Work in challenging positions and environments, including heights and confined spaces.
* Lift up to 50 lbs.
* Full-time schedule with on-call availability and travel on short notice.
* Drive for extended periods.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range as of November 2024 is $21.82 – $36.37/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k) with match, disability, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and paid time off.
